William Tumlin, director of the East Alabama Skills Center in Gadsden(The Center administers the Jobs Training Partnership Act Programs in East Alabama including Talladega County) stated: "When Haynes showed the textbook to me, it was obvious that it was an outstandingly simple textbook reference on complicated mathematical problems found in outside construction applications of mathematical formulas.

Tumlin said most reference and resource materials for mathematical problems in construction are written for engineers and professional surveyors.
